Scolpaig is an area on the Outer Hebridean island of North Uist. On a good day, you can view the deserted islands of St Kilda from here. The small tower situated on the loch, which forms the inspiration for the Scolpaig Press logo, was built around 1830 to provide work during a time of famine. You can walk down past the tower and the abandoned farm buildings, to a small sandy bay. Or you can walk up Ben Scolpaig and find amazing cliffs and collapsed natural arches.
